NG Siu Way, Second place and Auris Award
Hi Ray!
few questions to know each other better and discover how you reach the second place and the Char’s Auris II award of GBWC 2015.
How was this experience of GBWC final in Tokyo?
This is my first time competing in GBWC Final, I was so excited and thrilled to have won the awards and get the recognition from the esteemed judges.
What is your favorite model of the other participants?
The model from a Japanese participants.
Can you tell us an episode to remember in this final?
Actually, there are two memorable moments.First, when they call out my name for the second place winner which means I got two awards. This is really out of my expectation. Second, master Kawaguchi dressed up as Santa Claus and deliver gifts to the participants.
Would you like to add anything about this edition of GBWC 2015?
Well, I think it is already perfect!
Tell us who you are and how you enter the world of Gundam model building:
I am a big fan of SF animation since I was a kid. It was always my fantasy to own one of those 1:1 Gundam or aircraft. That‘s why I started building Gundams myself. When I grown up, I used to be a photographer, working for a weekly magazine in Hong Kong for almost 10 years. However I never forget my interest in Gundam Modeling. So I quit my job and set up my own gunpla studio and work as a full time tutor specialised in Gundam model building.
Let's go deeper: what kind of modifications have you done to reach this result? Are there any parts you are particulary proud of?
My model characterised in many details and mechanical features. You will find a MG Gunpla inside the main creature. This is the most satisfactory part I think.
Have you already had the next works in mind?
Yes of course and most of them are MG Gunpla.

Io pensavo che dal vivo si nota sesto imprecisioni.... gente, non avete idea del livello di precisione e pulizia. Mai vista una cosa del genere. Sembrava un metal build da quanto è preciso il suo modello. . -

Qualche domanda per conoscerci meglio e scoprire come hai raggiunto il terzo posto al GBWC 2015.
Come è stata questa esperienza alla finale GBWC a Tokyo?
Questa è la prima volta che gareggio nella finale GBWC, ero così eccitato ed emozionato di aver vinto il premio e di avere avuto un riconoscimento dai giudici, che stimo moltissimo.
Quale è il tuo modello preferito tra gli altri partecipanti?
Il modello del concorrente giapponese.
Puoi raccontare un episodio da ricordare in questa finale?
In realtà, ci sono due momenti memorabili: primo, quando hanno fatto il mio nome per il vincitore del secondo posto, che vuol dire che avrei vinto due premi. Questo mi ha davvero colto di sorpresa
Secondo, master Kawaguchi vestito da Babbo natale che consegnava i premi ai partecipanti.
Vorresti aggiungere qualcosa su questa edizione del GBWC 2015?
Beh, penso che sia già perfetto così!
Raccontaci chi sei e come sei entrato nel mondo della costruzione dei Gundam:
Sono un grande fan di anime di fantascienza da quando ero piccolo, ho sempre sognato di possedere uno di quei Gundam 1:1 o un aereo ed ecco perché ho cominciato a costruire Gundam. Da grande, sono stato fotografo per un settimanale a HK per quasi 10 anni, ma senza dimenticare il mio interesse per i Gundam.
Così ho lasciato il mio lavoro e messo su il mio studio dove ora lavoro come insegnante a tempo pieno specializzato in costruzione di modelli Gunpla
Andiamo più in profondità: che tipo di modifiche hai fatto per raggiungere questo risultato? Ci sono delle parti di cui sei particolarmente fiero?
I miei modelli sono caratterizzati da molti dettagli e particolarità meccaniche.
Troverete un Gunpla MG dentro la creatura principale, ed è questa la parte che io trovo più soddisfacente.
Hai già in testa il tuo prossimo lavoro?
Si e ovviamente la maggior parte sono Master Grade.
